A woman has died after being seriously hurt by a hit-and-run vehicle in the Humboldt Park area earlier this month.
Lisa Barber, 45, was crossing the street at the intersection of Kedzie Avenue and Franklin Boulevard shortly before 8 p.m. on May 11, when she was hit by a 2013 to 2018 Ford Fusion driving east on Franklin, according to police and the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office.
According to police, the motorist who hit Barber failed to stop.
Barber was transferred to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition. She died on Sunday afternoon at the AccentCare Inpatient Hospice Center at MacNeal Hospital.
