A woman was found dead near a bridge in Central Florida.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office opened a death investigation in Plant City after the body was discovered.
According to local law officials, last month, HCSO’s 911 Dispatch Center received a contact from someone who noticed an unresponsive woman by a bridge on Paul Buchman Highway near Tollar Road in Plant City.
When deputies arrived, they discovered a deceased adult female with upper-body trauma in a known transient camp.
This is still an active investigation, according to the most recent information from local law enforcement.
