A Columbia man was recently apprehended following a traffic stop in Maryland.
The Aberdeen Police Department said 28-year-old Robert Davis was stopped on June 30 for “a violation” near an intersection.
During the stop, police say a K-9 alerted them to probable drugs inside the vehicle. A search subsequently turned up a loaded revolver, over 50 pills, and more than $2,000 in cash.
Davis was then arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute, firearm possession during a drug trafficking felony, carrying a loaded weapon on his person, and other offenses.
According to police, Davis was eventually released on bond.
