The Florida Lottery just announced that Maria Duran of St. Lucie won the $5 million top prize in the $5,000,000 Crossword Cash scratch-off game.
The South Florida woman chose to receive her prize in the form of a single lump-sum payment of $3,262,138.
Duran bought her winning ticket at PK 2 Quick Mart, situated at 4101 Okeechobee Road in Fort Pierce.
She collected her top reward from the Florida Lottery’s Orlando District Office.
For $20, players might win up to $5 million instantly by playing the $5,000,000 Crossword Cash scratch-off game. This word-themed game awarded more than $239.6 million in cash rewards, including six top awards of $5 million. According to the Florida Lottery, there are two $1 million prizes remaining.
The game’s overall odds of winning are 1 in 2.90.
Scratch-off games are a key part of the lottery’s range of games, accounting for over 74% of ticket sales in fiscal year 2023-2024.
