Over $500k In Stolen Cargo Recovered After Search Warrant Executed At California Discount Retailer

Police recovered half a million dollars worth of stolen cargo after executing a search warrant at a business in Rialto, California.

On July 28, a search warrant was executed at a Rialto discount retail business as part of a California Highway Patrol (CHP) Inland Division Cargo Theft Interdiction Program investigation.

CHP seized over $500,000 in stolen goods from the business location.

Investigators suspect the store held stolen products from several cargo theft instances in Southern California.

The stolen shipment has been restored to its owners.

Officials did not disclose any information on arrests or charges related to the cargo theft recovery.

“Cargo theft affects businesses, customers, and the economy. “The CHP remains committed to disrupting organized cargo theft, recovering stolen property, and holding those responsible accountable,” Inland Division troopers stated.

The investigation is underway.
