Blaine police say they have apprehended 24 people in connection with a recent web sting that advertised sexual contact with children.
The Blaine Police Department claimed it conducted an operation in which investigators posed as minors online. During the investigation, 368 people responded to an internet posting, including 24 who reportedly offered to pay for criminal sexual conduct with someone they thought was young.
Several of the men apprehended were identified as repeat offenders, and one was proven to be a registered sex offender.
Police have yet to announce the names of the 24 people arrested, nor have they provided information regarding the accusations the suspects face.
