A man was shot in the 1500 block of Lafitte Ave. near the Iberville area on Thursday and died at the hospital, according to New Orleans Police. His death is being investigated as a homicide.
Officers arrived on the scene just before 5:15 p.m. and discovered a man who had been shot at least once. He was taken to a hospital by New Orleans EMS and later died of his injuries.
