Baltimore County police reported Monday that a 37-year-old man has been detained in connection with the fatal shooting of a lady in Towson earlier this month.
Michael Burnett is charged with many counts, including first-degree murder, in the killing of India Johnson, age 32. Burnett was arrested on Monday and is currently being held without bond at the Baltimore County Detention Center.
Officers initially responded to a report of shots fired in the unit block of Treeway Court soon before midnight on August 2nd. When officers arrived, they discovered Johnson bleeding from an apparent gunshot wound. She was pronounced dead on the scene.
Police have not disclosed any additional information about a possible motivation or the suspect’s relationship with the victim.
