The Pennsylvania Lottery said that a $150,000 lottery ticket was sold at a Rutter’s gas station and convenience store in Sewickley Township.
The $150,000 Powerball with Power Play ticket was sold at Rutter’s on Waltz Mill Road, according to the lottery. The gas station will be receive a $500 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
The winning ticket matched four of the five white balls drawn, as well as the red Powerball 10. Without the $1 Power Play option, which resulted in a three-times multiplier, the ticket would have won $50,000.
Lottery winners are not announced until rewards are claimed and tickets have been authenticated. Winners have one year from the draw date to redeem their prize.
The next Powerball jackpot drawing will take place on Wednesday. The jackpot is estimated to be worth $975 million in annuity payments, or $422 million in cash, making it the ninth largest in Powerball history.
In May, the lottery reported that a Sheetz in South Greensburg had sold a $350,000 jackpot-winning ticket. In January, a Speedway in Unity sold a $250,000 jackpot-winning Cash 5 ticket, while in February, Mr. Smokes smoking shop in North Huntingdon sold a $138,476 ticket.
