Four people were rushed to the hospital, including two in critical condition, following a multi-vehicle incident on I-15 in San Diego on Friday afternoon.
At roughly 2:10 p.m., a crash occurred on the southbound lanes of the 15 highway near Clairemont Mesa Boulevard. According to California Highway Patrol and photographs recorded at the site, four vehicles were involved: a silver Toyota truck, a silver SUV, a dark blue Lexus SUV, and a silver sedan.
According to San Diego Fire and Rescue, four persons were sent to hospitals as a result of the incident, two of whom were critically injured. One individual had to be rescued from their vehicle, and their health is unclear, officials said.
The incident temporarily halted traffic on the expressway as crews tried to clear the affected vehicles and debris.
