Cleveland Police officers responding to a call at a home in the 3500 block of West 48th Street discovered a 39-year-old unresponsive male bleeding from a gunshot wound, who died.
Police say the incident occurred at 2:30 a.m. on Sunday.
Officers from the Cleveland Division of Police’s Second District administered first assistance until Cleveland Fire and EMS arrived. EMS declared the male dead.
According to authorities, the homicide squad is investigating, but the man’s identification has not been released.
Police stated there is no evidence of a threat to public safety.
An investigation is ongoing.
