A single-vehicle rollover crash early Sunday on Interstate 30 killed one person and might result in DUI charges, according to the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office.

At 2:36 a.m., emergency crews were alerted to the eastbound lanes of Interstate 30 near the Ferguson Road exit. Upon arrival, deputies discovered an overturned white Ford F-150.
Investigators discovered that the driver lost control as he exited the freeway, causing the truck to flip. One passenger was pronounced dead on the scene.
A second passenger was sent to a local hospital in stable condition, while a third occupant was treated on the scene and did not require hospitalization.
The truck driver has been held as investigators investigate driving while intoxicated and intoxication manslaughter, according to sheriff’s officials.
Deputies closed the eastbound Ferguson Road exit for around three hours to process the scene. The victim’s identification has not been revealed pending family notification.
