A Happy Valley man was detained following a huge brawl in east Portland on Thursday afternoon that left one man critically injured.
Adam Ferris, 46, was brought into Multnomah County Jail on a second-degree assault allegation. Portland police accuse Ferris of striking a victim with a firearm, but claim he did not fire the weapon.
More than 30 police units responded to the incident, which began just before 1 p.m. in the 13000 block of Southeast Powell Boulevard.
Sgt. Kevin Allen, a Portland police spokesperson, said one man was rushed to the hospital with critical injuries Thursday.
Allen said the investigation is still ongoing, and additional arrests are possible.
Ferris’ criminal record includes convictions for drug possession, contempt of court, and driving infractions.
