A man was detained for indecent exposure in front of two juveniles, according to the Socorro Police Department.
On July 29, around 9 a.m., officers met with two juvenile victims who said that 31-year-old Juan Cortez had exposed himself and engaged in a sexual act, according to police.
The juveniles told authorities that he purposefully tried to get their attention by making provocative vocal sounds when they were walking to school around the 9900 block of Morocco.
Police claimed both victims used their iPhones to videotape the incident.
Officers from the Socorro Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division Street Crime Unit investigated the incident and issued an arrest warrant for Cortez for indecency with a child by exposure.
On Wednesday, August 26, police located Cortez at his home and arrested him.
He was booked into El Paso County Detention Facility. His bond was set at $75,000.
