A woman was shot on Canal Street in New Orleans Sunday evening (August 30), according to authorities.
Police responded to the 700 block of Canal Street just before 7 p.m. We discovered an adult woman who had been shot in the arm.
New Orleans EMS transported the woman to a hospital. For the time being, people should avoid the area.
