Two people were injured Sunday morning during a shooting sparked by an argument in the Cedar Crest area of Dallas, authorities said.
East Overton Road shooting
At 11:20 a.m. on September 6, Dallas police officers responded to a gunfire complaint in the 3500 block of East Overton Road.
A preliminary investigation found that a disturbance erupted between two people who knew each other. During the incident, both people were shot.
Both people were transported to a local hospital by emergency medical personnel and are likely to survive.
The identity of those involved have not been revealed, and authorities have not stated what prompted the shooting or whether charges are likely.
The investigation is underway.
