A 27-year-old woman was found beaten to death Sunday inside a Manhattan apartment, where a young child had been left alone with her damaged body for an unknown amount of time, according to police sources.
The NYPD discovered Lovay Williams’ corpse within the horrible scene on 156th Street near Amsterdam Avenue shortly after 1:30 p.m. in Washington Heights while conducting a wellness check, according to cops and sources.
The woman’s face and neck were severely beaten, according to the NYPD.
According to sources, the deadly incident appears to be domestic in nature, and the suspect is still at large. The victim’s and killer’s relationship was not immediately known on Sunday.
The New York City Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will establish the cause of death, according to authorities.
