At least ten people have been arrested and charged for their role in what the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Office describes as a large-scale drugs trafficking organization.
According to court documents, the case involves the distribution of illegal substances, some of which were consumed by children and adults throughout Pennsylvania.
The investigation began in December 2024 when officials discovered three warehouses in Pennsylvania that distributed illicit, highly strong narcotics such as marijuana and THC-delta products.This sophisticated organization used the illegal revenues of the illegal narcotics sale operations and used various financial institutions to deposit that money and shift it between various corporate companies and themselves,” the papers stated.
According to the paperwork, the attorney general’s office collaborated with the Westmoreland County Drug Task Force, Bucks County detectives, and Pennsylvania State Police.
According to the news release, the individuals involved were able to launder millions of dollars in illegal revenues from the trafficking business.
Dharmeshkumar Patel, Mitul Patel, Ankitkumar Patel, Katankumar Patel, Roshniben Patel, Palak Patel, Divyesh Patel, Nirav Patel, Madhav Patel, and Albina Patel have all been detained and charged in the Westmoreland County case. Their charges include corrupt organizations, delivery of a controlled substance, and possession with the intent to deliver.
Magistrate officials told KDKA-TV that two others have arrest warrants.
The attorney general’s office stated that each individual was actively involved in the sale, distribution, and/or transportation of illegal narcotics, among other criminal actions.
The attorney general’s office, along with its federal and state partners, will hold a news conference on September 14 to discuss the case and the steps taken to bring down the statewide trafficking operation.
