Authorities have apprehended a Louisiana woman who allegedly met with escaped inmate Tre’veon Jackson multiple times in Texas, deliberately assisted him as a fugitive, and brought their child to visit him on the night of his apprehension.
Detectives from the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office apprehended Mikhala Duncan on Monday, September 28, 2026, according to Sheriff Henry Whitehorn Sr. She is now facing charges of accessory to simple escape.
CPSO detectives detained Duncan while investigating Jackson’s recent escape. Authorities claim she met with Jackson at least twice in Texas after he contacted her following the breakout, including the night he was captured in Marshall, Texas.
Duncan confirmed to officers that she knew Jackson had escaped from custody when he contacted her and she consented to meet with him, according to investigators. Duncan said officials that she brought their child to the meeting so Jackson could spend time with them on the night he was arrested.
Police say Duncan was booked into the Caddo Correctional Center, and the investigation into Jackson’s escape is still underway.
