A drug dealer was nabbed for supplying drugs that led to an overdose death in Jacksonville, according to local law enforcement.
The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office inquiry began months ago, after a 61-year-old man died from an overdose. Over a nine-month period, the JSO Overdose Investigations Unit worked relentlessly to determine who provided the victim with the drugs.
Sean Coss, 44, was identified by detectives as the suspect.
The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office Overdose Investigations Unit executed a search warrant at Coss’ residence in the Deerwood area. Detectives discovered 28.8 grams of powder cocaine, 19.3 grams of crack cocaine, and 875.3 grams of marijuana. We also discovered four firearms and $1,565 in cash.
According to local law enforcement, Sean Coss was arrested for manslaughter as well as other narcotics possession offenses and put into the Duval County Jail in North Florida.
“Drug dealers, be warned: if you sell drugs in our community, we will put a stop to it. “If your medicines cause someone’s death, we will hold you liable,” the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office stated.
