Police: Winnebago County Deputy Arrests Cocaine Dealer In Front Of Toddler

Winnebago County deputies apprehended a Rockford cocaine dealer on Monday, according to police.

According to the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office, detectives from the department’s narcotics unit were looking into claims of huge amounts of cocaine being sold and distributed in the area.

On Monday, deputies and investigators closed in on the culprit, Devion Fair, 24, as he parked his car near North Court Street and Fulton Avenue.

According to court documents, Fair was conducting a drug sales meetup with a 2-year-old child in a car seat in the rear.

According to police, the automobile had 126 grams of cocaine, a loaded 9mm handgun, and more than $17,000 in cash.

Friar was arrested and charged with armed violence, possession with the purpose to deliver cocaine, and endangering the life of a kid.

He was brought to Winnebago County Jail, and the child was handed over to the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services.
