An 18-year-old has been charged in Hancock County after deputies say he attacked some kids in a field this summer.
Xavier Jaggers has been charged with armed robbery (Level 3 felony) and intimidation (Level 5 felony).
On the night of June 8, the Hancock County Sheriff’s Department claimed deputies were dispatched to Indiana University Health Fishers in response to a report of violence and robbery.
Someone at the hospital reported that a toddler was “pistol-whipped” in McCordsville’s Standsbury area.
According to court filings, Jaggers and three others went to a forested area in the neighborhood to shoot guns. Eventually, Jaggers and at least one other person robbed and beat two more victims. One of the patients suffered a large laceration that required stitches.
Deputies reported that the two allegedly stole $50 and a revolver from the victims.
According to the sheriff’s office, the event occurred near County Roads 300 N and 400 W.
