Mother drops off bottle at youth football homecoming game and watches her 12‑year‑old daughter suffer a fatal gunshot wound after a parking‑spot argument escalates, police say.

A man recently released from prison in Maryland allegedly opened fire on two individuals after a parking‑spot dispute, killing a 12‑year‑old girl at a football homecoming game.

Tyree Reynolds, 23, now faces 30 charges, ranging from murder and attempted murder to assault,in connection with Khloe Ishway’s death, according to court records.

Police report that the shooting occurred around 6:15 p.m. on Saturday in the 1200 block of North Franklintown Road during a youth football homecoming event.

Paramedics transported Khloe to a hospital, where she later died. Four additional victims were shot but remain in stable condition.

A probable‑cause arrest affidavit from the local Fox affiliate WBFF states that Reynolds stood in a parking lot near the fields when two men approached him. After a brief exchange of words, the men walked away.

Reynolds allegedly retrieved a short‑barreled rifle from his backpack and opened fire. The men he targeted returned fire, striking Reynolds in the ankle, police say. Investigators note that Reynolds’ bullets struck the victims because he aimed toward the football fields, while the other shooters fired in the opposite direction.

Khloe attended the game with her mother, who was delivering a bottle for Khloe’s baby brother.

“It’s so heartbreaking. This is senseless at a kids’ event. We never expected this. She was with her mom and her brother. This could’ve been way worse. It’s just senseless and I’m just heartbroken,” Donna Reese, Khloe’s grandmother, told local CBS affiliate WBZ.

Investigators reviewed surveillance footage and identified Reynolds as the alleged shooter. He was taken into custody after being released from the hospital.

He allegedly admitted his presence at the scene but denied firing a weapon, providing false information about his attire.

Maryland Department of Corrections officials confirmed that Reynolds was released from prison roughly a week before the incident, following a 2021 conviction for assault and firearm offenses.

“Tyree Reynolds was previously sentenced to 15 years of incarceration, with all but five years suspended by a judge. Reynolds served the entirety of that five-year term, day for day, and was released on Sept. 25, 2026,” prison officials said.

Reynolds remains in Baltimore County Jail without bond, with his next court appearance scheduled for November 4.

Reese described Khloe as a “grandma’s girl.”

“She was a bit of a homemaker because I taught her how to do everything around the house, and she was great at it. She was a great big sister, a great daughter,” Reese told WBZ. “She called me every day , every day when I got off of work to see where I’m at. Now, who’s going to call my phone? My phone won’t ring anymore. I’m going to miss my baby.”
