Muncie Man Taken Into Custody Over Threat To Burn Down High School

A Muncie man is in arrest after police say he threatened to burn down a Delaware County high school.

Steven Tracy, 35, was arrested on preliminary charges of criminal cyber intimidation against a school. He alleges his son was expelled from Delta High School after bringing a toy gun on campus.

On October 9, investigators began looking into Tracy when the Delaware Community School Corporation notified police about a threat made on Facebook by a user using Tracy’s name.

The threat was: “If Delta High School gets burned down soon, you know who f***ing did it [raised hand emoji].”

Tracy was arrested at his house on Wednesday. He has two outstanding warrants for driving while suspended.

Tracy first denied posting the threats online, but authorities said he later acknowledged to doing so.

As of Thursday, no official charges had been brought against Tracy. He is being held in the Delaware County Jail under a $5,000 bond.
