An eight-month-old girl was discovered dead on the southwest side of Chicago on Saturday afternoon.

The Chicago Police Department reports that around 1:46 p.m. on Oct. 17, an eight-month-old girl was discovered unresponsive inside a home on the Southwest side of Chicago on S. Artesian Ave.
The girl was pronounced deceased at the scene by authorities.
Detectives in Chicago are currently investigating a death and await the findings of an autopsy.
The reason for the girl’s death is unknown at this time, as the Chicago Police Department investigates the case.
