A person was shot late Friday night in Dayton.
According to the Dayton Police Department, police responded to a shooting incident in the 3000 block of East Third Street shortly after 10 p.m.
A male suspect assaulted another individual, and another male intervened.
The suspect then took out his firearm and shot the male who intervened.
The victim was sent to a hospital. His injuries don’t appear to be life-threatening.
The Dayton Police Department continues to investigate this event.
