3 people arrested after ‘brutal’ illegal warehouse rave

Three people were arrested in connection with an unlawful warehouse rave.

According to the BBC, three people were arrested after an unlicensed music event in Bristol, England, kept adjacent residents awake for many hours.

Around midnight Sunday, Avon and Somerset Police received reports of loud music coming from a disused warehouse in City Business Park, near Lawrence Hill. According to the network, the event drew approximately 1,000 attendees.

Police said officers had entered the building and confiscated devices by 10:30 a.m. GMT. Police said that the warehouse was locked and barricaded upon their arrival. It was quite brutal. “None of us slept all night,” Dean Buck, who lives in a block of flats just across from the building, told the BBC.

Officers stayed outside, preventing others from entering. According to the network, other individuals attempted to get entry by climbing neighboring fences. “They were pushing the door to get into the lobby,” Buck told the network.

Dean Buck, who lives in an apartment building across from the warehouse, told the BBC that the boom remained till the morning and shook his building. He slept for approximately an hour before discovering the music continued to play. “It was crazy,” Buck told the network. “The entire building shook. I passed out for an hour, and I couldn’t believe it was still running at 7:00 a.m.

The three were arrested on accusations of knowingly or recklessly producing a public nuisance. One person was also arrested on suspicion of possessing a Class A substance, police said.
