Wanted woman on family violence warrant taken into custody in East El Paso

A 35-year-old woman was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant for family violence and breaching a protection order, according to the El Paso County Constable’s Office in Precinct Three.

Alexandria Chavez was arrested for committing ongoing violence against her family and breaking a protective order for assault/stalking. She was placed into El Paso County Detention Facility on a $20,000 bond.

On Wednesday, November 4, deputy constables got information about Chavez’s whereabouts.

Deputy constables patrolled a residential complex on the 3700 block of Lee Boulevard. During the monitoring, they spotted a vehicle belonging to Chavez in the complex parking lot.

Deputy constables approached the home and made contact with Chavez, who was positively recognized and arrested, according to the Constable’s Office.

“Family violence is a serious concern, and our office’s top focus will always be the safety of victims. Individuals who ignore protection orders or commit repeated acts of violence must face consequences. “We will continue to work tirelessly to locate and apprehend those wanted for these crimes,” Constable Hector Bernal stated.

The Constable’s Office stated that there is a “zero-tolerance” policy for family violence, and the organization is “committed to aggressively pursuing individuals” wanted for similar offenses.

Bernal further indicated that warrants involving family violence are prioritized owing to the possible danger posed to victims, particularly those who may still be subject to further threats, intimidation, or physical abuse.

Bernal encouraged the public to call his office at 915-273-3590 if they have any information about wanted individuals.
