A four-year-old child was taken to the hospital after being shot inside an apartment on Tuesday evening on the city’s West Side.
The shooting occurred shortly after 6 p.m. on the 3100 block of West Franklin Boulevard in the Humboldt Park area.
The girl sustained a gunshot wound to her left leg. She was transported to Stroger Hospital in good condition.
Police did not specify what led to the shooting or whether any arrests were made.
Area 3 detectives continue to investigate the incident.
