A Frisco man was sentenced to a maximum of 20 years in prison for stalking a Collin County woman in 2024, according to officials.

Collin County District Attorney Greg Willis said Robert Bevers, 40, had also targeted four other women since 2016. Evidence given at a two-day penalty hearing revealed that Bevers frequently harassed women he had never met, sending unwanted messages and gifts and making in-person interactions.

The stalking case began in 2022, when a 27-year-old Frisco woman discovered unsolicited gifts on her porch and captured Bevers’ car circling her home on video cameras. Despite receiving a civil protective order, Bevers resumed contact in 2024, sending more sexual and racist communications, sparking a felony stalking investigation by Frisco Police.

Bevers was arrested on April 29, 2024, and a Collin County jury convicted him of third-degree criminal stalking in October 2025. Judge Kim Laseter sentenced him to 20 years in prison and a $10,000 fine after prosecutors presented evidence of prior convictions and a history of harassing other women.

Court documents also revealed Bevers’ troubled past, which included a juvenile commitment to the Texas Youth Commission and a five-year jail sentence for severe assault on his grandmother. One victim asked the court to impose the maximum sentence so the group of women might have “a moment of peace.”

“Serial stalkers like this destroy their victims’ peace of mind,” said Willis. “My office exists to protect the people of Collin County, and that protection includes making sure those who prey on women face the full weight of the law.”
