An 83-year-old woman who went missing in Phoenix on Tuesday and prompted a SAFE Alert has been found, authorities said.

The Phoenix Police Department said Wednesday morning that the alert for Angela Latonis will be withdrawn after she was discovered by Peoria Police and reunited with her family.

Latonis was last seen around 4 p.m. Tuesday near 43rd Avenue and Cactus Road, according to the alert issued later that night.

She was described as 5 feet 1 inch tall, 125 pounds, with white hair and hazel eyes.

She was wearing a lavender sweater with purple flowers, a purple undershirt, blue jeans, and lavender shoes when she went missing.

Latonis supposedly has a medical problem that causes her to appear disoriented.

SAFE Alerts have replaced Silver Alerts in Arizona as a means of spreading the news about missing people 65 and older, as well as missing people of all ages who have dementia or developmental/cognitive problems.
