A Dublin man has been sentenced after allegedly attempting to meet with a 15-year-old.

A U.S. District Court sentenced Kyle Tennyson, 35, to 151 months in prison for seeking to meet with a minor for sexual conduct in Cincinnati.

Tennyson, a documented sex offender, used the social media app Kasual to interact with what he thought was a 15-year-old but was actually an undercover agent. According to court documents, Tennyson acknowledged the risk, saying, “It’s just really risky for a guy to do anything with you, unfortunately. :/” I despise the law.

Tennyson sought photographs to confirm the minor’s identity and talked about sexual acts. He admits to being cautious owing to continuing legal troubles, noting, “The girl on Bumble said she was 18.” She was not. The parents found out. “I got screwed.” He supplied a photo of his leg wearing an ankle monitor, which was a condition of bond in a separate case involving a 13-year-old.

Tennyson was nabbed in Cincinnati with a supermarket bag containing an open box of 36-count condoms. He was charged by a federal grand jury in June 2024 and pled guilty in June 2025.

Tennyson was convicted of peddling obscenity in 2014 and is currently facing ten charges in Delaware County for sex offenses involving minors.
