A Wildwood Middle High School student was detained with metal knuckles stashed hidden in her backpack.
According to an arrest complaint from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office, an administration at the school learned that 18-year-old Jirah Janelle Little, who resides in the Wildwood Preserve Apartment, had a weapon and was confronted by a school resource officer during lunch on Wednesday.
The school resource officer escorted Little to the principal’s office. Little’s backpack was inside her backpack, and the metallic knuckles were discovered within it.
The Camden, New Jersey, native was detained on a felony weapons possession allegation. She was booked into Sumter County Detention Center and released after paying a $2,500 bond.
