Middleport Christmas celebration set for Dec. 2, 2017

MIDDLEPORT, Ohio – Middleport will once again be the “Christmas Village” as the annual celebration takes place December 2, 2017.
Christmas in the village will kick off at the Riverbend Arts Council building will begin with the annual Christmas Market at 10 a.m. The market will be open until 5 p.m. There will be two cash prizes awarded at the end the of day. Registration for the giveaway is at vendors’ tables.
From 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. there will be free carriage rides available for the public. Loading for carriage rides will be beside the Riverbend Arts Council building.
Music will fill the streets of Middleport when the Community Band concert will take place outside the Art Council building.
The annual Middleport Christmas Parade will begin line-up at 4 p.m. beside Dairy Queen. The parade will begin at 4:30 p.m. The Meigs Independent Press will be covering the parade live on Facebook.
Immediately following the parade, Santa and Mrs. Claus will be at the Riverbend Arts Council.
