An 18-year-old man was apprehended and charged with the armed robbery of a 19-year-old woman on the city’s South Side earlier this year.
Edrick Richardson, of Chicago, was arrested this week in connection with the alleged armed robbery that occurred in Hyde Park in September.
The Chicago Police Department charged him with two felony charges of armed robbery with a handgun.
Richardson was recognized by police as the person who reportedly stole personal stuff from the 19-year-old victim at 5 a.m. on September 13 in the 5500 block of S. Hyde Park Boulevard.
The US Marshals Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force captured Richardson last Thursday in the 3000 block of E. 79th Street.
He was scheduled to appear in court for a detention hearing on Saturday.
