Passenger in Custody in Syracuse Theft Case
SYRACUSE, Ohio – A person described as a passenger has been taken into custody following the recovery of a vehicle allegedly stolen from Syracuse.
On January 21, 2018 the 2011 Black Ford Explorer SUV was recovered in Athens County, Ohio according to Syracuse Police Chief Mony Wood.
Taken into custody for allegedly taking the vehicle was Jacob Tyler Hayman along with this passenger, Morgan Roush. Both are being held in the Southeastern Ohio Regional Jail.
Law enforcement had also been looking for Jacob Tyler Hayman in connection with the missing vehicle following the report of it being stolen on January 20, 2018.
Hayman has been charged with Grand Theft in Meigs County. He faces additional charges in Hocking County for felony drug possession. The case will be referred on to the Meigs County Prosecutor’s Office.
