A man faces serious charges after a stabbing during a domestic dispute in Worcester.
The Otsego County Sheriff’s Office reports that Christopher R. Roettger, 25, was arrested on Sunday, January 11.
He is charged with assault and criminal possession of a weapon.
Deputies arrived and discovered a victim with several stab wounds, who was then transported to Bassett Hospital by Otsego County EMS.
Roettger fled the scene but eventually returned to give himself up.
Investigators obtained a search warrant for the residence and Roettger’s vehicle and gathered additional evidence.
The Otsego County District Attorney’s Office requested bail of $100,000 cash, $100,000 credit card, or a $1,000,000 surety bond.
Roettger is being held at the Otsego County Correctional Facility for arraignment, and an order of protection has been requested for the victim.
The New York State Police Forensic Investigation Unit participated in the investigation.
