2 Women Arrested After Alleged Assault And Burglary At Governors Square Mall

Two women have been arrested in connection with a Dec. 24 incident at City Gear inside Governors Square Mall, Clarksville police said.

Authorities said three women were initially reported for taking items, concealing them on themselves, and attempting to flee the store, setting off the anti-theft system. Following a confrontation with the suspects, store staff recovered the property.

Police say the women later returned to the store and confronted employees. During that interaction, Toneisha Williams, 28, and Antranice Phillips, 27, allegedly assaulted two employees after entering a restricted area.

Williams and Phillips were arrested and placed into Montgomery County Jail after being given burglary warrants.
