After a year and a half of searching, Chester County authorities announced the arrest of Carlton Wallace Dixon, the suspect in a fatal shooting on June 17, 2024, at Ramsey Grove Apartments on Flint Street. One person was pronounced dead on the scene.
Dixon, who was wanted for murder and other firearm violations, was apprehended by the Mooresville Police Department in Mooresville, North Carolina, according to the Chester County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page.
Authorities are currently seeking to extradite Dixon to South Carolina. He is charged with murder, possessing a weapon during a violent crime, and possessing a firearm or ammunition as a convicted person.
The Chester County Sheriff’s Office is working with North Carolina officials to finalize the extradition and bring Dixon to trial.
