3 people dead in Cincinnati fire

A fire at Spring Grove Village killed three people on Saturday evening, according to authorities.

A fire broke out shortly after 7 p.m. at a home on Edgewood Avenue. Firefighters initiated a strong interior attack in search of casualties, officials said. Authorities located multiple people trapped inside the burning property, including one who was rescued from the second level using a ladder but did not survive. When firefighters arrived on the first floor, they discovered two previously deceased victims.

Approximately 70 firefighters arrived to the location, and there were no reported injuries. The fire was extinguished in around an hour and a half. The fire caused around $250,000 in damage.

Authorities said the location would remain protected as investigators worked to determine the cause of the incident.
