A Washington County man was arrested this weekend as a consequence of a multi-state drug investigation.
According to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, the four-month investigation aimed to halt the distribution of various substances, including heroin, cocaine, and crack cocaine, throughout western Pennsylvania and Ohio.
As a consequence of the investigation, 53-year-old Archie Orison was arrested during a traffic stop on State Route 18 in Burgettstown.
When he was pulled over, authorities discovered he was in possession of crack cocaine.
Orison is now being detained at the Washington County Correctional Facility.
Meanwhile, following Orison’s arrest, the Jefferson County Drug Task Force in Ohio executed a search warrant at a residence in Steubenville. As a result, another person was arrested after being discovered to be in possession of cocaine, crack cocaine, and over $15,000 in cash.
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office stated that additional charges against Orison are pending and that additional arrests may arise from the investigation.
