The person responsible for the death of an 82-year-old woman after a crash in west Toledo in July has been taken into custody, according to Toledo police.
Tammy Ridoutt, 56, of Toledo, was arrested this weekend for the death of Doris Krueger on charges of aggravated vehicular homicide and negligent vehicular homicide.
On the morning of July 7, Krueger pulled out onto Secor Road from Glenn Street.
Krueger’s vehicle was struck by a car driven north on Secor by 56-year-old Toledo resident Tammy Ridoutt.
Krueger was pronounced dead on the scene. Meanwhile, Ridoutt was transported to the hospital.
According to an affidavit from Toledo Municipal Court on Friday, the data recorder in Ridoutt’s car showed that just before the crash she was going 64 miles per hour.
Ridoutt upped her speed from 64 to 76 mph in the five seconds leading up to the incident.
The speed limit on Secor Rd. near Glenn St. is 40 mph.
Ridoutt was released on her own recognizance and is currently unable to drive.
Ridoutt has a mandatory court appearance on Monday at 9 a.m.
