CASA Training Set for April 24, 2018
ATHENS, Ohio – The Spring Pre-Service Training to be a CASA volunteer will be April 24, 2018 from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. at the Ohio University Inn.
Described as “a fun and exciting training that will equip you to become a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for Meigs and Gallia Counties.”
There is a great need for this program in Meigs and Gallia Counties. In 2017 alone, 120 cases were filed between Meigs and Gallia Counties as a result of abuse, neglect or dependency.
The Flex Training Model allowed volunteers to cut the classroom portion of the required training in half by utilizing an online classroom for case briefs and homework. The training is free.
