Man Arrested On Drug And Gun Charges In Chelsea

A 51-year-old Chelsea man is facing trafficking and firearms charges after a two-month drug probe.

The Chelsea Police Department Drug Unit arrested Ricardo Molina on Thursday morning on accusations of cocaine trafficking, handgun possession, and ammunition possession.

The arrest stemmed from an investigation into Molina’s alleged cocaine distribution in the city.

Detectives secured a search order for Molina’s Marlborough Street home from Chelsea District Court.

The warrant was executed on Thursday, resulting in the recovery of material linked to the charges.

Molina was arraigned in Chelsea District Court on Friday.

“This arrest is the result of focused investigative work by our Drug Unit officers who remain committed to keeping dangerous drugs and illegal firearms out of our neighborhoods,” said Chief Keith Houghton.

“We  will continue to pursue those who traffic narcotics in our community and threaten public safety,” Houghton said.
