A North Carolina man won $150,000 with a scratch-off lottery ticket he purchased while visiting Ohio for work.
The winner, known only as Gerardo, told Ohio Lottery officials that he is from Gaston, North Carolina, but is currently working in Ashtabula.
Gerardo said he usually buys scratch-off lottery tickets from the Village Food Mart on South Main Street in North Kingsville, and he never expected to win large.
His lucky day came when he purchased a $20 Monopoly Bonus Spectacular 100X scratch-off, which showed a $150,000 jackpot.
The big winner stated that he intends to spend his prize money to buy some fitness equipment to enhance his health, with the remainder going toward savings and investments.
