Former Quincy City Manager and Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) Director Rob Nixon was apprehended Tuesday morning after authorities served a search warrant at his home in Quincy.
According to Chief Assistant State Attorney James Beville, the former city manager is charged with 16 felony charges, including grand theft, possession of a firearm by a felon, and official misconduct.
Nixon has been charged with one crime of organized fraud, one count of grand theft, four charges of official misconduct, four counts of forgery, and four counts of uttering.
According to Beville, Nixon allegedly used his position as city manager and CRA director to funnel over $30,000 into his business, Monterrey’s Cigar Social.
According to Beville, the alleged misbehavior took place between May 2022 and April 2023.
Nixon appeared in court Wednesday morning, when a judge ordered him to post a $31,500 bond.
