A man reported missing in Tempe was discovered dead Friday, according to officials with the city’s police department.
Michael Bayne’s body was discovered in Mesa near Center Street and McKellips Road, authorities said. The Mesa Police Department has taken up the death investigation.
Bayne, 32, was last seen on a neighbor’s security video strolling through his complex on Scottsdale Road and Mesquite Circle on the morning of February 16th.
“Our thoughts are with Michael’s family and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time,” Tempe police said in a statement. “We understand how deeply this ongoing search has affected the community, and we ask for continued patience and compassion as the investigation moves forward.”
