A Stickney man has been charged with murder following a fatal Thanksgiving shooting, according to Chicago Police.
Richard Negron, 31, is charged with first-degree murder. He was nabbed on Friday in the 4700 block of C. Central Ave. in Stickney, Illinois.
Police responded to a complaint of a person shot around 11:53 p.m. on Feb. 28 in the 5100 block of South Luna Avenue. When they arrived, they discforovered an unresponsive 27-year-old male on the ground with many gunshot wounds.
He was brought to Stroger Hospital and pronounced dead.
A witness told investigators that an unidentified male, later identified as Negron, approached on foot, pulled out a revolver, and fired before fleeing. Police stated a weapon was found at the scene.
Negron’s next court appearance is set on Sunday.
