10 People Sentenced In Indiana Fentanyl, Methamphetamine Trafficking Ring

Ten people have been sentenced for their involvement in a massive Indianapolis-based drug trafficking operation that trafficked fentanyl, methamphetamine, and cocaine across central Indiana.

According to the US Department of Justice, the operation lasted from October 2022 to November 2023 and included Indianapolis, Muncie, Terre Haute, and the neighboring towns. The inquiry began in Vigo County and concluded in November 2023, when federal and local authorities executed several search warrants.

Authorities have seized:

  • 25,000 fentanyl pills
  • Two pounds of methamphetamine
  • Nearly 349 grams of cocaine base
  • 225 grams of cocaine
  • 487 grams of fentanyl laced with xylazine
  • More than a dozen firearms and hundreds of rounds of ammunition
  • Nearly $19,000 in cash

Federal authorities named 44-year-old Joshua Kendall of Indianapolis as the ringleader, stating that he used threats to control members of the organization. Kendall earned the heaviest punishment: 33 years in jail followed by ten years of supervised release.

Other penalties ranged from 23 to 4 years in prison, depending on the defendant’s role. The case was investigated by the DEA, IRS Criminal Investigation, ATF, Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, and Vigo County Drug Task Force.
