Members of ‘Fox 5 Gang’ sentenced to prison for daylight shootings in DC

Four members of the “Get Back Gang” and/or “the Z” were sentenced on Friday after shooting up various locations known to be rival gang hangouts.

Derrico Johnson, 21; Ronald Henderson, 19; Daveon Robinson, 18; and Demarco Robinson, 22, perpetrated three separate daytime shootings in Southeast Washington, D.C., between April 2022 and January 2023, according to U.S. Attorney Jeanine Ferris Pirro. The four are members of a larger violent group known as the “Fox 5 Gang.”

On April 12, 2022, Johnson shot and killed Clayton Marshal and injured another during a daytime drive-by shooting at Shipley Market; neither victim was considered to be the intended target. The place was a popular hangout for the “Deuce Deuce” crew.

Around six weeks later, on May 26, 2022, Johnson, Henderson, and a third unknown individual walked to the Savannah Terrace Circle, which is linked with the “23rd and Savannah” clique, and shot and killed 16-year-old Justin Johnson, alias “23 Rackz.”

On Jan. 2, 2023, Henderson and Robinson shot two people outside Alabama Convenience Store, a recognized location for the “23rd and Savannah” crew, during another daytime drive-by shooting. The police believed that another man, Dionzai Parker, was in the car with the two, but his case is still ongoing.

The defendants already pled guilty to conspiring to commit murder or an armed crime of violence as a result of their involvement. Johnson, Henderson, and Robinson also pled guilty to crimes involving specific acts of violence, including assault and robbery, which contributed to the overall conspiracy to commit murder or an armed crime of violence.

On March 6, 2026, Superior Court Judge Michael Ryan sentenced Johnson, Henderson, Robinson, and Demarco Robinson to 22 years, 8 years, and 6 years, respectively.
